Withholding Tax Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance
with FATCA, NRA, and Backup withholding regulations. The FATCA &
Withholding Tax Specialist reviews and summarizes financial data
for the preparation of various tax forms and client reporting.The
FATCA & Withholding Tax Specialist to the FATCA & Withholding Tax
Manager.Position Duties / Responsibilities--- Conduct reviews of
FATCA and NRA related documentation to ensure accuracy and
completeness. This includes reviewing W-8 Form documentation for
both individual and entity clients to determine their documentation
status.--- Prepare workpapers and ensure timely payments to the IRS
in compliance with FATCA and NRA regulations. -This involves
withholding the correct amounts from payments to foreign clients
and submitting these withholdings to the IRS. This position is also
responsible for reversals over withholding of taxes and client
accounts.--- Reconcile general ledger with actual transactions
recorded in the journal entries. Any discrepancies identified
during this process are corrected through manual adjustment.---
Collaborate with the Commercial Team to clarify questions related
to FATCA, NRA and Back UP Documentation, withholding and
Reporting.--- Review documentation for deceased accounts and
account closures to verify proper withholding.--- Maintain tax
policies and procedures, including proper operational and data
documentation procedures.--- Assist with tax audits and special tax
projects.--- Other duties as assigned or requested by immediate
supervisor.Education:Bachelor's degree required or equivalent
experience -Business Experience: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience
or demonstrated required level of proficiencySpecialized and/or
Technical Knowledge:--- Tax research.--- Ability to effectively use
on-line tax databases.--- Knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory
and tax issues.--- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.--- Versatile and
flexible that can manage a number of transactions/projects at the
same time, is accommodative to change and can deliver against
deadlines.--- Very good written and oral communications skills---
Ability to work closely and co-operatively in a small team
environment.--- Self-motivated with the ability to work under own
initiative and with little supervision.Languages:English and
Spanish.Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such
as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting
equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite
meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to
fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.Employer Rights:

this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary
range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based
on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on
skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and
location.Salary: $44,250 - $69,000/year
